Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at erin@erinbpsych.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

The cost of a counselling session at River and Ridge Mental Health Collective varies based on the type of service you require.

We base our fee structures off the fee guides set by the Psychological Association of Alberta. Sessions with psychologists cost $235; sessions with clinical counsellors are $190, sessions with psychotherapists are $150, and sessions with our graduate intern therapists cost $50 and have a 'no questions asked' option for sliding scale (if you require a sliding scale or pro bono rate with our interns please bring this up with them at the time of your first session).

A typical counselling session at River and Ridge Mental Health Collective lasts for 50 minutes, although some sessions may be longer or shorter depending on your needs and preferences.

River and Ridge Mental Health Collective counselors can help with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, grief and loss, trauma, and more.

Yes and yes! We welcome all individuals who are looking to heal and evolve in their lives into our space.

Please note that the front doors of the building are automated and there is an elevator to come find us on the second floor. The doors inside of the building are unfortunately not automated, if you require assistance with the doors of our office or the washrooms please let us know and we are more than happy to support. There are wheelchair accessible stalls in the washrooms.

We do have the ability to direct bill to many providers. Availability will depend on your insurance provider and what type of providers they allow direct billing for. Please ask your individual therapist if your plan is one we can direct bill to.

Typically yes and this is also dependent on your individual insurance plan. Virtually all plans cover services by psychologists and provisional psychologists. Many cover services by clinical counsellors and psychotherapists. It is up to each client to verify what type of providers your plan covers.

Sessions with intern therapists are typically not covered by insurance benefits. Some plans with Health Spending Accounts may reimburse you for these services; again it is up to each client to verify their own coverage.
